If you realized, I have gone missing for a week. =)
Actually, I was supposed to work on New Year’s Eve, but when I got up in the morning, I had migraine. I decided to sleep back because at night I will be going for the New Year’s countdown and I didn’t want to feel sick or uncomfortable. So I took MC and went to see the doctor for some medication. At the same time, I was coughing and having a bad flu, so taking some medicines may help and since on the 2nd I will be flying to Bangkok.
New Year’s Eve celebration was fun. First I met up with Ijan for a game of pool, later, meet up with my usual group of friends (Uni friends) at Ling Ying’s house (near The Curve) for dinner, and then I left to The Sanctuary at The Curve for the countdown party with my HP friends. After the countdown, around 1.30am, I left to NZ mamak at KLCC
(Thank God the traffic was only bad for a short while near The Curve and once I head to the highway, it was clear. Although I had to pay a RM2 toll, but it was worth it because I reached KL in about 45 minutes or less) to meet up with my crazy buddies, Ryn, Jaja, Ijan, Kecik and AJ. Chilled and played card games till 5 in the morning and left for home.
Woke up around 1pm. Did some house cleaning (apartment in Sunway) for a fresh good start of the New Year 2009.After that, again I went for a pool session with Ijan, left for Pyramid to buy some stuff (in the end didn’t but anything) at 6pm and when for dinner with Chin Huang.
When back home to Klang, pack my bag for my Bangkok holiday the next day. Taxi will be fetching us at 9.30am when our flight is only at 12.25pm. Better early than late! Hang around at McD’s for a while and managed to chit chat on the phone with dear Ryn before I fly. Sad to say, after entering the immigration check point, and waiting to board, an announcement came informing that the flight to Bangkok (our flight) will be delayed for 30 minutes. So instead of flying at 12.25pm, we flew at 1pm. Lucky it wasn’t that delayed as compared to Air Asia, which I remember I had to wait for almost 2 hours before the next air plane is available for departing.
Reach Bangkok around 2pm (BKK local time) if KL will be 3pm. Check in the hotel, and went to find some food. Rest a little and at night, when walking at the usual street “Patpong Street”. It’s about 10 minutes walk from our hotel. We go there every night. It’s full of clothes, bags, food, accessories, etc and even a street full of those “ping pong show” (there’s another way of calling it but rude, if you’ve been there, you’ll know).
The next day and the days after was just pure shopping for me. 5 days and 4 nights there was a total shopping heaven adventure for me. This is my second time there. The first time there was in the middle of last year where at that point of time I didn’t really know what’s there to shop and what’s nice to shop. But this trip, it was different. I knew what to shop. Of course they weren’t branded. They were all made in Thailand things. If I were to buy branded stuff there, I might as well get it in KL too, but I have to admit that certain brands there are cheaper than here. However, I still think there’s no point to get brands that are here, there.
I think I got around 11 shirts, 8 bags, 2 pairs of shoes, 3 dresses and 2 pants. And another 2 bottles of perfume from the duty free. Only in Bangkok my dad will not stop me from buying what I want and in fact give me money to shop as well. This time I brought a bigger luggage bag (24”) as compared to late time I brought a real small one maybe about 16” to 18”? But then again, it wasn’t enough for me! I had to buy another cheap luggage bag to fit everything. The only worry I had was that the Malaysian custom will stop and check but luckily they didn’t! Because sometimes if they see you buying too many things from another country, they might want to tax you! So stupid!!!! Besides shopping, I practically consume a lot of food too. 100% I put on some weight, so these few weeks will be nothing but oats and workout! MUST!
My resolution this year: Quit smoking (or at least lessen the number of cigarettes a day), maintain slim and be a better person.
The summary of what I've done from New Year's Eve till yesterday. I had a wonderful year 2008 ending and a brilliant 2009 beginning. I wish things will be good for me throughout this year because last year was terrible! Wish me Luck!
